Saturday Morning Rounds
What we're reading
Actually, this week it's what we're writing!
We've been working on for a long time on writing a sort of BBMD Thesis Statement - a way to crystallize the foundation of our method and introduce some of the best tools we use with our clients - for a wider audience. It was important to us that this be:
We rolled it out a couple of months ago to new subscribers, and after some testing to make sure it's as good as we'd hoped, we're excited to open it up to all of you!
"5-Day Foundations" is a free mini-course, spread over 5 daily emails, that will cover:
Each of the emails takes well under 10min to read, and we're confident that they'll have an outsized impact in your work and life for the time invested. Please check it out and let us know what you think!
Who we're following
This upcoming Monday we will celebrate Veteran's Day in the USA, and it's the least we could do to express our thankfulness for those who serve in our nation's armed forces by using this week's "who we're following" section to celebrate one of them. Luckily for us, we don't have to look far. We've been HUGE fans of Ashley Liebig (@ashleyliebig) since we heard her speak at Girl Med Media's conference last year, and once you learn more about her, we're confident that you will be too! She's an RN, a veteran combat medic who served in the elite 101st Airborne unit, an emergency services division chief, a powerful advocate for #FOAMed (Free Open Access Medical Education), and so much more. Following her and staying on top of her Twitter feed is a wonderful way to keep up-to-date with all the latest happenings in MedEd, emergency medicine, and get an occasional dose of bad-assery (usually somehow involving a helicopter)!
BBMD tip of the week
Thank a veteran - the mini-series we mentioned above is more than enough tips for one week, we promise
Quote we're contemplating
From @ashleyliebig's talk about feedback around this time last year (might be a paraphrase):
As always, please let us know your requests and suggestions on Twitter. Which section above is your favorite? What do you want more or less of? Just send a tweet to @BossB_MD and put #SaturdayMorningRounds in there so we can find it.
Have a wonderful weekend, y'all!
